The Paigham-e-Aman Ulama & Mashaikh Conference was held in Peshawar under the chairmanship of Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Faisal Karim Kundi, while Allama Hafiz Tahir Mahmood Ashrafi hosted the conference. Distinguished scholars, Mashaikh, religious and social personalities, and representatives of different schools of thought from across Pakistan participated in the event.
Addressing the conference, Allama Dr. Mir Muhammad Asif Akbar Qadri, Nazim-e-Ala Nizam-ul-Madaris Pakistan and Member of the National Paigham-e-Aman Committee, Government of Pakistan, emphasized that Islam is a religion of peace, security, compassion, justice and respect for humanity, and categorically rejects terrorism, unlawful killing, oppression and disorder.
He expressed serious concern over the exploitation of Muslim youth by extremist groups and stressed the need for scholars, religious seminaries, universities, educational institutions and state institutions to work together to strengthen the intellectual and ideological protection of the younger generation.
Allama Dr. Mir Muhammad Asif Akbar Qadri stated that Fitna-e-Khawarij has historically misused the name of Islam to justify rebellion, violence and the killing of innocent people, despite having no connection with the true teachings of Islam. He called for the development of structured academic and research-based curricula in madaris, universities and religious institutions to educate young people about the authentic teachings of the Qur’an and Sunnah, moderation, tolerance and peace.
Referring to the scholarly contributions of Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr. Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri, he highlighted his comprehensive intellectual work and historic fatwa against terrorism and extremism, which clearly rejects terrorism, suicide attacks, extremism and the unlawful taking of human life.
He further proposed that the national Paigham-e-Pakistan narrative, its agreed declaration, and authentic scholarly material addressing Fitna-e-Khawarij should be incorporated into the curricula of religious seminaries and educational institutions. Such measures, he said, would help protect young people from extremist ideologies, strengthen national unity, and promote peace, stability and intellectual moderation in Pakistan.
Concluding his address, Allama Dr. Mir Muhammad Asif Akbar Qadri reaffirmed that scholars, Mashaikh, religious seminaries and national institutions must continue their collective efforts against extremism, sectarianism and terrorism, while promoting peace, fraternity, unity and harmony throughout the country.
