Allama Mir Asif Akbar, Nazim-e-Aala of Nizam-ul-Madaris Pakistan, has said that the teachers’ training workshops throughout the country. He said that the qualified generation of students trained by the teachers would play a major role in the socio-economic development of the country and promotion of Islamic message of peace, love and interfaith harmony. He said that we would have to focus on character building of the students, adding that education is an effective means to address the challenge of extremism. He said that the teachers are a backbone in the system of education; therefore, it is important that they are enabled to deliver on their highly important role by imparting them modern teaching techniques through refresher courses. He said that Nizam-ul-Madaris Pakistan is rendering excellent services to tackle the problem of extremism and negative attitudes by spreading correct Islamic teachings.

Dr. Mir Asif Akbar expressed these views while addressing the teachers’ training workshop.

Nazim Allama Ain-ul-Haq Baghdadi said that success cannot be achieved without hard work. He said that Nizam-ul-Madaris Pakistan is the first board that has started teachers’ training programs on professional lines to enhance the capacity of teachers working in religious seminaries. He said that the trainings have now been devolved to the zonal levels. He said that the role of teachers in the implementation of the curriculum remains critical.

Dr. Shafqat Baghdadi said that extremism and intolerance have increased in the society. He said that important reforms need to be introduced in the syllabi to deal with this scourge, a fact Nizam-ul-Madaris continues to keep in mind at the time of designing syllabi. He said our struggle is to protect the students from falling victim to extremism. He asked them to spend their time in knowledge acquisition.

Syeda Akhtar Kalsoom, Allama Aziz-ul-Hassan, Syed Shafqat Rasool, Syed Hamayat Rasool, Allama Akhtar Hussain, Prof Asif Shahzad, Allama Fazal Abbas, Syed Sadat Rasool, Allama Sajjad Naqashbandi and others addressed the teachers’ training workshop.
